Invited by our partner Serene Network in Guadeloupe, Alexis Katchourine had the pleasure of leading a presentation for entrepreneurs on tax optimization for investments in works of art.

A company that acquires an original work of art may deduct its purchase price from its taxable income over a period of five years.

Eligibility requirements:
✅ The artist must be alive at the time of acquisition
✅ The artwork must be on public display for 5 years (in a location accessible to employees and customers, or on loan to a museum)
✅ The deduction is capped annually at €20,000 or 0.5% of revenue, whichever is greater

Practical example: For the purchase of three works representing a total investment of €24,000, the company can deduct €4,800 per year for 5 years.

Beyond the tax benefits, these investments help enhance the company’s brand image and support vibrant artistic creation.

We would like to thank Claire Montesinos for organizing the event, as well as Christelle Clairville Pierre-Joseph, founder of La Maison Gaston.
