For the third consecutive year, the Farewell team hosted several conferences and breakfast discussions in Guadeloupe for many local entrepreneurs.

This lecture series is organized by our local partner, Claire Montesinos, president of Serene Network and Seren Up!

These conferences provided an opportunity to take stock of:
• Tax opportunities in the French overseas departments and regions (DROM)
• Planning for the succession of family businesses

There is no shortage of ideas, and structuring them is essential—especially since many tax incentives are much more attractive in the overseas departments and regions (DROM) than in mainland France, in addition to national incentives that aren’t necessarily well known on the island.

Furthermore, there are significant fiscal and societal implications surrounding the transfer of businesses and real estate in the overseas territories.

Both the advisory and litigation aspects of these various tax issues need to be thoroughly understood in the French overseas departments and regions (DROM), and that is what we have sought to convey through our presentations.
